The club is open to runners of all abilities, from those just starting out to those in training for marathons. The emphasis is on running to your expectations, although if you do wish to improve your overall fitness and running ability you can choose to run in the Speed/Conditioning Sessions.
The original thinking behind Netley Abbey Runners was to allow runners to train together in small groups, rather than on their own. This means that the runs are more social and (during the dark, damp winter months) it adds ‘safety in numbers’ compared to running alone.
There is always someone to run with at Netley Abbey Runners. We are a friendly bunch of people and although we vary in ability, we never leave anyone behind. We have various social events throughout the year to bring together our NAR spirit.
